Labor & Liberals make mental health a key election issue

Regardless of who wins the upcoming federal election, mental health looks set to be a big winner.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese yesterday announced that a re-elected Labor government would invest $1 billion into mental health services across Australia. This will include the expansion of youth health services and the training of 1,200 new mental health professionals.

The Coalition has previously pledged to invest $9 billion into health, which includes its mental health policy. Read more here.
