Trans woman allegedly turned away from US hotel because “people like you can’t stay here”

A trans woman in the US has allegedly been denied her reservation at an Extended Stay America hotel, with the hotel clerk reportedly telling the woman that her reservation was cancelled because “people like you can’t stay here”.

Extended Stay America operates more than 700 hotels across the United Sates and the incident is reported to have happened in March when Sadie Vice tried to check in at the Extended Stay America Atlanta-Northlake hotel. At the time, the hotel clerk also noted that Sadie had another reservation for later in the month and that she would have to cancel it, again allegedly saying because people like Sadie can’t stay there.
